I hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend and an opportunity to take a moment to remember the true reason for the day. How blessed we all are to be from the land of the free and the home of the brave. Spend any amount of time in another culture and the true value of freedom, equality and the ability to fight for your rights becomes crystal clear. How fortunate to be free. 🙂

This is going to seem obvious, but this is a party to show off what you’ve been up to in The Great Outdoors. Pick your one favorite outdoor project and share it with us all.  I’m looking forward to sharing everything that inspires me on Facebook, Pinterest and in a highlight post next Tuesday.

And, for those of you who read the fine print (first, Thank you!!), I am happy to report I not only did not die of heat stroke during the triathlon, and I DID have fun and finish my 10k run just an itty bitty smidge under my goal of one hour, in exactly 58 minutes and 41 seconds. Not exactly a blistering pace, but enough to make this casual runner smile through the gasps for breath! 🙂

  2. Thought I’d throw an older outdoor project up…it really is my favorite, because Kate uses it every day! She puts on puppet shows, pretends to have a store, and sometimes even a lemonade stand.

  5. and ps- awesome job! i did a 10 k a couple years ago…. it took me 1 hr 5 minutes, so you have got me beat! (it was hilly, in my defense!)
