month in minutes {may 2012}

It’s that time of the month again.  Well, it’s already the second full week in June (seriously?!?!) so let’s get on it and put all of the links for what we accomplished here in May in one handy dandy little spot for you, with a few fun new things mixed in.

The month actually started with very little productivity due to some fun vacation visitors.  One of our favorite spots to take company is called the blue room …
Cool, right?!?!

So, while I was out frolicking with friends and supposed to be making a sign for a local spa, I highlighted a few of the signs I had already made here.

I am happy to report, the spa sign did get made, it’s nothing extravagant, but serves a purpose.  :)
For the first Monday of the month It’s a Cinch post we shared how to make a super simple dry erase board.

Then we actually made a project.  Yay us!  The L.I.F.E. in words art was a hit and even inspired a knock off that can be found on our Facebook page.

To kick off The Great Outdoors series for May we made a cute little one pallet slat trough and then we shared an image transfer technique using just your home ink jet printer and white glue.  This technique was used to put the word ‘Welcome’ on our new trough.

And, then because I had just learned this, and was very relieved to see that many of you didn’t know either, I shared how to reverse your image and text in Word Art to accomplish the image transfer.  One of those things I’m so happy to know now and still ask myself ‘how did I not already know this?’.  Geesh, just when I go thinkin’ I’m so smart.  😉

Here is what she looks like today.

And, in the grand finale of The Great Outdoors series I shared our new rooftop bedroom!!  That’s right, we’ve got a rooftop bedroom.  Woo Hoo!!

Check out the almost 200 links of outdoor inspiration from The Great Outdoors link party here.

And, if you follow along on our Facebook page you saw Mico and I chillin’ in our space one afternoon.
Of all of the fun little details in the space, I first shared how I salvaged the wicks and the wax from some wonky old candlesticks and made the one of the kind jar candles.

And, for the foto friday series, we took a {curacao staycation}, had a journey of {sunsets}, spent {just a random day} living on an island, and gave a heartfelt tribute to a dear friend’s dog {zeb}.

All-in-all, another great month here at the space between, I can’t even tell you how thankful I am to have you all along for the ride.  YOU make the journey all the better.

Enjoy your space today!  :)

    If I lived where you live, I’d be more than happy to go on a staycation – every week! :-) Great idea to do a round-up of your previous month’s blog posts. I missed some of your May posts, so I have some catching up to do!
