i asked and you answered

And can I just tell you that you guys had me cracking up. You are funny! And kind. And so thoughtful to say such nice things about this here blog. You rock my world. You know who you are.  You “forever 21″, “way too many kids”, “red-neck girl”, “crazy cat lady”, “young at heart”, “lettuce green” loving people. You are my people. Or I am your people.  Or something.  :) Now, I am way too easily distracted to take your answers and poke and prod them into fancy charts with exacting measurements and mind boggling statistics. So I’m going to point out a few observations that had me smiling, laughing, cracking up even, making Joel wonder what the heck was so funny on my little computer.  :) First, I am honored by exactly how many of you left your names.  I had intended the survey to be anonymous, but when I start out by asking your name I guess that’s hard to do.  Oops. * *btw – this survey is totally not anonymous.  maybe I’ll get it better next year. But you still shared so many great details about who you are. 19% of you live outside of the US and/or dream of travel and a beachy life. My people!!

31 things

Happy Blogiversary to us!  Me and you.  This blog and these readers.  We’re a match made in Heaven, really.  :) This first year on the blog has been Ah. May. Zing!!!  Seriously. A HUGE window to the world wide web of like minded people like YOU. So thank you for being here too. In honor of this first year blog anniversary, I thought it’d be fun to share 31 random things you might not know about me and this blog. And even as I type that I’m thinking “I’m not sure anyone cares”, but whatev. In October the Nester has an annual series called 31 days. Her challenge is to pick a topic to blog about every day in October.  For 31 days. Challenge equals not excepted.  ;) Not only do I not have anything interesting for other people that I’d like to write about for 31 straight days.  I don’t really have any interest in blogging for 31 days straight.  Helloooo.  That’s like everyday.  ;) So here is my very own 31 things version.

who the heck are you?

This week marks a milestone here at the space between.  (Ceeeeeee-le-brate good times, come on!) *I do not know those people.  We’ve been here, spewing out randomness to you for one whole year! Can you believe it?  Me either.  ;) I can honestly say I had no idea what I was doing when I hit publish on my very first post. *I’m not making a political statement here, just a confused statement.

blog conference {haven 2012}

Well, well, well.  How have you all been? I can not even begin to express how wonderful my experience at Haven was.  And, I’ve mentioned this to a few of you already, but I am not really your squealing, easily excitable type of girl.  I’m much more the roll-my-eyes-at-all-you-squealing-fools type. So, I really had no idea what to expect from a blog conference, but believe you me, like my buddy Kelly, I am now totally going to become a Superblogger.  ;) But, I’ve never really wanted this blog to be about blogging so I put together a little round-up of my overall experience that I hope will be fun for all.  I present to you: The Haven Lists of 3. 3 Most Relatable Speakers

make your own {business cards}

Well, as you know, I am on my way to Haven right. this. second.  Enter nervous jitters here. This gal on an airplane sure is hoping she’s not the odd man out in a room full of people everyone promises is welcoming and inclusive.  Fingers and toes and strands of hair and anything else crossable crossed.

month in minutes {march 2012}

Hey hey!  Happy Monday. Most of you in the states are probably off today, right?  Hard to believe how easy it is to get out of touch with holiday schedules.  I don’t even know if today is a holiday here in Curacao. Oblivious much.  :/ Anyway, it seems like a good day to review all that was the month of March, with some new stuff mixed in for fun.  For me, it was one of those months where I feel like I didn’t actually finish much.  I worked on a lot, was a bit all over the board…but let’s see what was actually done, shall we?
